About Us

Built by control engineers, for manufacturers

The 5 Axis Slicer was born from real-world manufacturing challenges. Our team at DotX Control Solutions combines deep expertise in robotics, control systems, and additive manufacturing to build software that actually works on the factory floor.

We saw that existing slicing software stopped at 3 axes — forcing engineers to write custom scripts or accept compromises on complex geometries. So we built the tool we wished existed: a true multi-axis slicer with open postprocessors, designed for production environments from day one.

Our Mission

Make multi-axis additive manufacturing accessible to every manufacturer. Not just research labs — production floors.

Our Approach

Software should be transparent and adaptable. That's why our postprocessors are open-source and our kinematics are configurable, not black-boxed.

Our Users

From sportswear companies printing non-planar molds to universities doing plasma deposition research — we serve anyone pushing the boundaries of additive manufacturing.

What makes us different

Off-the-shelf software

No lengthy integration projects. Download, configure, slice. Our software is designed to be purchased and used immediately.

Open postprocessors

Every postprocessor is open-source. No vendor lock-in, no black boxes. You own your output format.

Any machine, any robot

XYZAC, XYZBC, XYZIJK, custom kinematics. From KUKA and ABB to custom CNC gantries — we support it.

Control system roots

We come from the control systems world. We understand machine dynamics, trajectory planning, and real-time constraints.
